Escape to Here Now

  Interesting question I think.  Maybe a little hard to answer because it does seem quite subjective although it has many objective aspects. When you add more context, it becomes a little easier to answer. I guess this one thing that generally stands out as important are needs.  What do " we " need,  and that would also include, what do " I " need.  Needs do tend to focus the mind and give it some kind of directions.   But generally, and moment by moment, I think two things do come to mind as important.  Compassion and love .   Both are kind of central to life and perhaps both are what you might think of as " needs ", both in the giving and receiving aspects. Of course there is a lot to say about both of these and it requires a good deal of thought to sort those two things out.  I know personally that I've been trying to sort out the differences between those two things most of my life.  I know that some people do have good ans...

  Some might say we got a pretty - big - planet here and some might disagree with that.  But is the planet big enough for all our desires, hopes, aspirations, and dreams?   Now, I would have to say, pretty tough question, but as far as guarantees, well, I think that's a little easier question, but I would never like to  answer the question for somebody else. Nevertheless, we do share this space.  I personally think this idea of  pursuing happiness is a good one.  It sort of implies the absence of  guarantees, but certainly encourages you to give it a shot.  And you never know, you might learn something on that road, as well.

 To begin with, most people are familiar with the idea of a vessel.  It is a container, and often contains people.  America culture has had a lot of focus on vessels, and of course we kind of have them as various aspects of our  life.  I digress, but I can not help from mentioning Chekhov from Star treks, unusual pronunciation, a variety of productions about vessels. Anyway, the first thing that should come to mind is maintenance.   As we have become aware over time, most vessels require maintenance.  It's a thing. Now of course, in a certain context, we are often talking about vessels that contain people.  In general, you might say, the most important item on the vessel is usually the people.  What that maintenance is all about for these variety of vessels is, efforts to keep the " cargo ", most importantly the people on the vessel --- safe --- , as possible.
