Win or lost, election or not
??? What ???
So, it appears I have become agitated by this whole conversation about
who won the 2020 election, when what is really important about
the 2020 election is that we had one.
Let us assume for a moment that everybody got it wrong. Nevertheless,
Joe Biden is the current occupant of the White House. What now ?
The only way to completely resolve the issue is, that
that 100% of everybody agree. Okay, now assume that 100%
of the people agree that the 2020 election was stolen. What
now? Are we going to pass a law that says that Joe Biden
and Donald Trump have to share the White House? Like
what then? Donald Trump gets the Oval Office on Tuesday
and Thursday and Joe Biden, Monday and Wednesday and
they flip for it on Fridays. Beyond that they each get their
own staff? So that means something like where are all these
people going to be? Share an office or what? Sounds
a lot like Steve Carell and the Office. Amazing T.V. It
also may be just a little bit over whelming.
Now, in 2022 this is mostly - non-sense , in that it makes
no sense for us to focus so much effort on something
that we can do very little about that will really help in
terms of the administration of affairs of the state of a nation
that has such a big global footprint. And I might mention
also a few real difficulties of various types.
Now, I would not go so far as to suggest everybody should
just shut up about it, and I would not suggest that because
so many people are so " wound up " over this, that there
probably does need to be more conversations which will
hopefully make some people feel better about this " odd "
situation, but eventually we have to get to the point that
if this is a nation for the people and by the people, we
just have to get to the point of actually being for the
people and by the people. And I might add, whatever
people, they are all people. Okay?
At the end of the day, the only things that will improve
this situation are:
1) understanding
2) consideration
3) empathy
4) generosity
5) just a little bit of kindness ...
6) mutual respect ...
and maybe some other stuff...
