Something - a little bit - about organization
Organization is another very difficult word to get a handle on,
because it appears in so many context , and of course the
unpleasant experience of organizations, meaning some kind
of institution which may not be all that organized.
In general, you can argue about whether " organization " as
a whole is such a great thing, and you can even argue about
whether there is such a thing as " organization " in an abstract
sense. But at the end of the day, hopefully, you can appreciate
that an important feature of organization , is the ability to
achieve some kind of clarity, that will improve the effectiveness
of actions or activity that need to take place. So, in this
sense organization might be a good thing, depending on how
much clarity we can actually achieve.
This may be a kind of boomerang, but there is another concept
related to organization, which is re-organization, which mostly
has a kind of not so good reputation, but, in fact, if it can be
clearly established that some greater clarity on various
matters can be achieved by an organization or a method , then
such a re-organization can have beneficial results. Of course,
we always have to consider, beneficial in terms of for who
or what.
Now, the hardest part, what exactly is the point here?
Well, I think, that in order to consider " improvements ",
on whatever scale, it is necessary to consider these issues
as sometimes, circumstances require a response. So to
find that appropriate response, it may be necessary to
examine, even long held assumptions.
Finally, our interconnections and relationships seem to
be continually expanding, and that makes these issues
more complex but not less important.
