God and mercy
I guess, that one of the most difficult things to deal with in regard to something
we might call God, is the idea of God's mercy. This is difficult , for example
if we instead talk about God's Mercy, and then try to figure out how that
might be the same thing or different.
Many folks will be reluctant to think in theistic terms of a theistic framework,
simply because of this notion. Our general experience of life is that it
tends not to be filled with what you might call merciful experiences,
and if all our experience is connected to some single source, then where
is all this mercy going, and why does all this seem more than a little
bit arbitrary?
I do not think I can answer that question, although, there may indeed
be an answer, but regardless of your position on theism, it seems
a relevant and valid question to consider.
