Learning, self respect, and other stuff

 Things are interesting.

I have previously asserted that , in my opinion, the single

greatest cause of 1/6/2020 , disaster, was a massive lack

of self respect among a wide variety of individuals.

Further, I would say that, that assertion is demonstrable

as either true or false.  Actually, there may ,in fact, be other

significant factors but at least, in my opinion, it is number one.

Back to learning. Learning can be an amazing experience.

It is also a terrific source of self respect. You only have

to consider how you felt about yourself when you learned

to walk, or ride a bike, or any particular skill.  And, of course,

respect is closely connected back to love, love for others,

love for yourself, and other things. So think about a new

pair of shoes, you " respect " them, exactly because they

are "new".

Rushing to the end of the day, I think learning is like

love, in that it is a natural behavior, but both behaviors

need to be nourished.  However, also like love, learning

has a great variety of barriers, some subtle and some

more obvious, but something else needs to be kept

in the front of our minds.  Our future is

firmly connected to how young people act, probably

a lot more than what old people say or think.  How

they act is of course directly connected to those

two behaviors mentioned, love and learning.
