Lurching from crisis to crisis
I am only guessing, but it seems to me, that very frequently individuals
will get into a pattern, in which they sort of stumble from crisis to
crisis. In part, this might have to do with the heighted motivation
often experienced during a crisis. When individuals do reach
some kind of understanding about the causes of these crisis,
there lurching into the crisis will undoubtedly decrease,
although the lurching might not decrease. You're just not
lurching into a crisis, because you have eliminated the cause
of the crisis in the first place.
So people do this all the time, and it definitely might
require some serious efforts to isolate and prevent some
those " variables " that will decrease these crisis,
but the results and the benefits to those individuals,
is generally significant.
Likewise, you will notice a pattern like this has also
been going on globally for at least 70 years. Of course,
globally , we did a lot of lurching before that, just
considerably slower.
Now if you consider the U.S.A. alone and it's behavior,
particularly for the last 70 years, you will notice a
pretty similar pattern, going from crisis, to crisis
although the lurching may be significantly different.
I think that it almost looks like , we are heading out
into the directions of crisis. Whether this is totally
conscious behavior, or maybe something like a
collective conscious, --- who knows ---, however
what ever the motions is, how you could describe it, we
seem to do a considerable amount of this, situation
of being in crisis, almost like a guy who works in
a light bulb factory runs into lightbulbs.
Some people might suggest that , that is what freedom
is all about. Sure, that might be true, but you
can not but reflect on the fact that usually these crisis
do not work out the way would might like them too,
and finally if running into a crisis all the time is " true
freedom ", then well, okay, but is does also seem
quite stupid, because we should very well be able
to anticipate these crisis, and therefore, attempt
to eliminate the inevitable causes of these crisis.
Maybe, another way of looking at this is, the previous
paragraph is " stupid " and therefore this kind of
running into crisis thing, is a " feature " of the
environment. Okay, yes that may be true, but
it surely seems like if people have this experience
in there personal life, then shouldn't the same
kinds of processes or mostly systematic steps,
work in ,kind of, the same way for larger
groups?
Now to right this out as a formula would probably
be kind of difficult, but untimely in order to actually
do this , you must isolate those variables that
do cause these crisis, and then, you have to sort
a bit to determine where you get the best
resolutions to those difficulties you are
you are trying to eliminate.
And, again, what is the point. Well, today, it
seems that we are even going faster than the
lurching we had previously experienced.
These days we tend to be " stumbling " from
one crisis, to another. Simply put, stumbling
is several times faster than lurching. And of
course , beyond that, the crisis we are encountering
these days, are a bit larger, and a bit more frightening
than , some of those, experienced, in the
more distant past.
