working on focus
Full disclosure, I have only worked with focus, briefly.
Anyway, the first thing that comes to mind is screwing in a screw. I am pretty
sure, anyone who has had this experience, recognizes that without a " certain ",
amount of focus, the screw in not going to get the placement it might
need, for a good out come. In other words, without the required amount
of focus the effort will result in failure.
Of course, focus is something that is required of us, in pretty many
environments, and pretty much all the time. Examples include:
basketball, knitting, playing cards, tying shoes, cooking, brushing your
teeth, and many other activities. Even some highly passive activities
require at least some kind of focus, regardless of the effort involved.
One of the " big " deals, and highly important aspects of focus is;
it is pretty key to any kind of problem solving situations.
Sometimes, these situation require some higher levels of focus,
and some require a more persistent application over some
time.
Okay, big rush to the end of the day here. It does seem like
focus can be a really good thing, but I have to end with the
question: Can you nurture focus?
