Attitude

 

And so, my father was a pilot and I think I learned the word, attitude, from him, which mainly

had to do with how the air plane was traveling in the up/down direction.  In this context attitude

means a lot, in fact it means, like everything, whether you get off the ground or not,  and like wise

whether you get back to the ground.  So attitude can mean a lot in different situations, and of

course, in this context, also meaning, whether what you are doing is " right ", kind of, keeping

the shiny side up.


Life, is funny, and being right can mean a lot.  But sometimes, just being right is not enough,

like, yes, you can get off the ground, but then you also have to know where you are going,

and sometimes, that can be as difficult as getting off the ground.


Now, it's time for me to figure out what this means.  Maybe it means something.  I know that

when I am thinking about this one element that seems to persist is what attitude can mean,

as well as trying to find that save place to land.  But also, some how, this connects back,

in a vague way, to how we are connected, or disconnected.

Belief, faith, and meaning

  Well, these three concepts are obviously closely connected, but yet you can possibly make distinctions between them.  The first two are of course clearly related and you may even think of faith as a container for some beliefs.  The exact nature of what that container might be or how you might comprehend it, of course, is, kind of, what faith is all about. Okay, on space and time

  Well, it's a lot easier to think about if you just call it a manifold, which is not exactly super simple, but makes it a little easier to think about in terms of how " real " it is. So, this is motivated by article which I did not read, about how real is space and time. In mathematics, of course, this stuff is really real, because without it you can get absolutely nowhere.  But , let us not get too hung up with the math. Now, on a day to day basis of course we have " time " or we don't have any " time ". So, I would have to imagine for your average person, it's pretty darnn real, as of course is space, because, we are always involved with translations, meaning going from one place to another, and also, we put other stuff in spaces.  Now whether you want to believe that the stuff, you are using to jam into the space, is also space, I figure, that's all up to you and what makes you most comfortable. T.V. s and unlimited power

  I have to preface this, with, this could be a very hard train to follow, and I'm just hoping it doesn't crash at the end. I was fortunate, when I was very young to have been in a community, pretty much without T.V. s but in which they were being introduced gradually. So, when I was about 3 or 4 years old we had one, and the first experience I remember with that, was the Wizard of Oz.  I didn't see it completely  because I totally freaked out at the first appearance of the Wicked Witch of the West.  I remember this so distinctly, because I was unable to go into a dark room for about 3 weeks.  I was diagnosed with acute Witch-itis.   Moving on to the unlimited power.  Today, in the world we live in, we have selected, individuals to have practically unlimited power.
