Religion and superstition
So in discussing religion, I made a connection with religion and paths. Superstition
then can just be considered a path that basically goes nowhere.
Now , it is very interesting that someone may be very " diligent " , in the kinds
of practices, he or she , might feel is religious and still engage or become involved
with superstitions of various types. You can definitely find examples of this, but
it is simpler to just understand that religions, in order to have valid practice, generally
requires more than one belief, and therefore, it is then possible to have a superstitious
belief, and other beliefs that conflict with your genuine religious beliefs. This
is simply because to navigate any serious path, may require different types of practice
and these practices will then be connected back to some belief about somethings.
So, you can see, from that, how many people would choice to avoid belief. But
sadly belief is connected with actions, so generally you just end up
reducing certain types of beliefs. At the end of the day, what you actually
believe is going to be pretty personal, and so two people who share a religious
belief or perspectives can end up with many different beliefs on a
variety of issues. Now, of course, this is one reason to have religious
communities of various types is helpful , because it allows the individual
to sort out those beliefs that may or may not be of benefit, to that
individual.
Note also that superstition and politics end up to be different things
but because superstitions motivate various actions, then you would
expect, that if some of your beliefs are now superstitious, you
will in effect be going to a path, that is not all that beneficial.
So reducing superstition or detecting superstition can be very valuable
in the same way as eliminating prejudice can be helpful, almost
always. And that brings us to the end of the day, at the beginning of
the day, in the middle of a storm.
In other words, paths can be hard to navigate, sometimes.
We all do need help.
