Okay, in my opinion ...
Not that sure about how " humble " right now, but anyway, following up on the last post about difficulties. I think that if we consider the number of difficulties , issues, or conflicts, now facing us on this relatively smallish planet, we just have to face the sort of " fact ", which is really more of an opinion, that in order to get some kind of a " handle " or leverage on the situation, we probably need to behave in a bit more collaborative of " co-operative " fashion. Perhaps, I am wrong, but sure does seem that way.
So what might be involved in such co-operative or collaborative behavior? Well, the most obvious thing I can think of is higher levels of " mutual " respect. What that means is we have to respect each other. Now, that does seem like a pretty easy thing for us to do, but for some reason, in general we have great difficulties with it. Maybe, what we need is " tetrads ", which was the last thing Albert Einstein wrote on his black board, but I'm not sure.
But, again in my opinion, this is a solvable problem, which of course I am unable to prove at this time, but I seriously suspect it is in fact, true.
Democracy is founded, again, in my opinion on this notion that " just " plain old people, are in fact capable of significantly high degrees of " co-operative " or " collaborative " behaviors. So we have common phrases like " liberty and justice for all ". In other words, we do not hoard our " liberty and justice " for a select few but, in fact, everyone is afforded both " liberty " and " justice ".
So what is the end here? I believe the problems that we currently do have are solvable, that we can learn to have a sufficient amount of mutual respect for each other that will in fact allow the levels of collaboration and co-operation necessary to solve them. Probably won't be easy , however. Just my opinion.
