A few thing-a-ma-bobs short
And so, when my grandmother was growing up, there were no cars, no radios,
no ice-boxes and a lot of other thing-a-ma-bobs were missing. When she
started raising her kids, the ice was delivered for the ice box, whatever
that was like, and probably the milk. Her husband drove a Ford Mercury,
for most of the time that I was around, and back and forth from Florida
once a year.
Curious, how adaptive we can be to carry out activities that we view
as necessarily to support, what, I guess you might call: - general
well being.
Today, I think, we maybe somewhat short of thing-a-ma-bobs, although
for sure we do have quite a few. I think that is really okay, because
one thing we seem to be pretty good at is - slapping together - a
thing-a-ma-bob or two, when we really need one.
