Somewhat obtuse observation

So the obtuse part might suggest that this is something about

politics, but I would let you make that observation.

Anyway, I was going to do an epilogue for this blog, but

can't do that, and anyway, it would require more work.

So this goes back to Norbert Weiner and the Human use of Human

Beings, in which he suggests that digital computing or control

devices would likely have a somewhat less than beneficial effects

on the kinds of life we humans call ourselves.  As a result, I might

suggest that what  he had observed at the time, approximately 1950,

has sort of manifested itself in a massive global issue, that you

might call bi-polarism.   In other words, as a result of our use of

such technology we have made ourselves susceptible to making

lots of binary types of decisions.   Of course, this was particularly

evident during the 1950's thru to almost 1990, when we viewed the

globe as being divided between east and west.

Nevertheless, as there is a malady, it most clearly suggests that

there is a cure.  I can not be specific about the nature of the cure

only to suggest that most cures involve some level of discomfort.

Anyway, I can say that I am encouraged, particularly by advances

in the quantum of mechanics, or mechanics of quantum, which

gives us a striking view that nature is not particularly binary.

And of course some folks did win the Nobel prize for this exact

issue.

So, I must remain hopeful that we will , globally be able to reduce

to some degree, this intense level of bipolarism that does seem to

be affecting most, many, or who knows, be a lot of ourselves and

fellow companions, on our very small, but extremely curiously

interesting tiny planet.
